Wednesday, October 23, 2024 | 4:00PM–4:45PM CT | EDUCAUSE Commons, Teaching & Learning Central Poster Area
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
After the global interruptions of the last few years, Gen Z student expectations about the relationship between higher education and themselves have changed. Gen Z students expect to be prepared for their futures as competent employees, responsible citizens, and self-fulfilled human beings. Gone are the days of traditional education practices from previous generations. Now, there is an increased demand for flexibility in learning situations, digital education equality, and real-world learning opportunities. How do instructors, designers, and staff in higher education meet this generational shift in attitudes and expectations? Join us in our session as we discuss the changes and what strategies and resources can be used to meet the new normal in education.
