Enterprise Data Literacy Fundamentals and Development: Applying Ted Lasso's Total Football Principles
In the Ted Lasso Apple TV series, Ted leads his team using the Total Football system. The system contains the following four principles: conditioning, versatility, awareness, and believe. Applying these principles to our entergration (enterprise-integration) data literacy efforts, our institution is consistently innovating and enhancing our interactions, trainings, communications, and feedback loops to serve our learners in a more efficient, timely, and relevant cadence. These entergrated data analytics, reporting, and insight-driven activities are led by our institutional research and educational technology leaders who focus on our WGU mission: “to change lives for the better by creating pathways to opportunity." In the “be curious” tenet from Ted, we constantly seek ways across the institution to iterate and innovate for impact. We will present how WGU over the last ten years has traversed our data literacy efforts across software, applications, trainings, and stakeholder discussions to amplify and measure our impact to faculty, students, and alumni.
