This workshop is designed to introduce the NIST Research Data Framework (RDaF) to both individuals and organizations by giving a thorough overview of the framework, exploring current implementations and having hands-on time to work through implementation exercises with others. Implementations from a large state university system and a federal government agency will be examined; hands-on activities will include developing profiles for participant roles, exploring using the RDaF as the basis of a scorecard review and gap analysis. The workshop will focus on topics key to higher education technology success such as risk management, data security and privacy, and lifecycle management.
