Is HyFlex The Death of Lecture Halls?

Wednesday, October 23, 2024 | 1:45PM–2:30PM CT | Meeting Room 206, Second Level
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Industry Led
With students and faculty preferring more flexibility in course delivery formats, many institutions have moved to HyFlex models, which is a learning model allowing students to choose between in-person, online synchronous, or online asynchronous learning options based on their preferences. To fine-tune HyFlex, the consistent evaluation of the experience, impact and technology is required. Join us to discover not only how UC Berkeley, Roger Williams University, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas deployed HyFlex models with the right technology, but also took innovative measures to ensure all students were set up for success. This will also be a lively, interactive discussion about where attendees are in implementing HyFlex, the barriers experienced, and creative solutions to meet the needs of all students.
