Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
The rapidly increasing prevalence of generative AI technology poses unprecedented challenges for schools at all levels and critically necessitates a paradigm shift in teaching methodologies. In higher education, despite varying attitudes toward the technology, faculty often share a common sense of fatigue trying to keep abreast of these rapid technological advancements. While motivated—or in many cases, pressured—to address and integrate AI into their teaching, their efforts often fall short due not only to the complexity and rapidly changing nature of AI but also to an abundance of related issues such as data privacy, ethical considerations, and academic integrity, just to name a few. This session aims to alleviate these pressures by providing a comprehensive, yet simple, guide that includes conceptual frameworks, practical strategies, and an array of tools and resources to assist faculty in effectively navigating the complexities of AI integration, thereby enhancing student engagement and fostering creativity in their teaching practices. Through this session, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to transform their teaching approaches and embrace the opportunities presented by generative AI.
