Thursday, October 24, 2024 | 9:45AM–10:30AM CT | Meeting Room 006AB, River Level
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
Generation Z (Gen Z) students entering institutions of higher education are expecting a considerable response to their needs and preferences. Instructors, instructional designers, and instructional technology staff must adapt teaching strategies, instructional design, and educational technology to embrace the changing academic and technological shifts. Supporting students on and off campus will be driven by students’ life circumstances and learning modality choices. This workshop aims to empower participants with the tools needed to understand the diverse needs of Gen Z students, ways to implement pedagogical practices, and instructional design approaches to enhance learning outcomes.
