Using Champions to Overcome Past Failures and Make Change Happen
Using Champions to Overcome Past Failures and Make Change Happen
Tuesday, March 16, 2010 | 3:30PM–4:15PM | Seville West/First Floor
Session Type:
Professional Development
Organization-wide improvement efforts fail 50–75% of the time, not because the leader failed to "walk the talk" but because the organization was simply incapable of the change. Feel-good stories of success sell because people are starved for examples of those few who have successfully instituted an improvement effort! The ugly little secret is that most organization-wide efforts fail regardless of which consultant or methodology chosen and regardless of how much is spent. This session introduces the concept of "organizational immaturity" and explores how to recognize it and overcome it.
