The "Generation Me" group comprises those who were born in the 70s, 80s, or 90s. They have not known a world where duty precedes self, and thus, they put the individual first. This does not imply they are selfish; rather, they are aware of the importance of high self-esteem. But how do you engage university students who may appear to be self-absorbed? At Washington University in St. Louis, Student Technology Services has implemented a model that allows us to engage Generation Me students in a way that enhances their living and learning experience while promoting service and knowledge.
