Using Free Social and Multi-Media Tools to Engage Online Students

Learn about two methods of leveraging social media and multimedia to engage students in an online learning environment. Attendees will gain knowledge of two tools freely available to enhance engagement and see them in action. One method used is a successful Facebook group used to discuss and post examples of viral marketing for films. The second, used in the same Film and Media Literacy course, is XtraNormal, an inexpensive and easy-to-use tool for creating animated clips or extended animated movies.
