Schedule and Assignments

Session 1

June 3, 2020, 1:00–2:30 p.m. ET

This session will briefly introduce you to the who, what, when, why, and how to transform your IT governance, department, and organization from operational to strategic. We’ll provide you with tools to begin identifying who your stakeholders are, what areas of focus may need transforming, why this is useful for all stakeholders, and how to use the information gathered to transform governance.

You will need to create a current state map of your IT governance/decision-making processes. You’ll begin by filling out a questionnaire to assist with the identification of stakeholders. Next, you’ll brainstorm and identify what areas need improvement and why this is important to the organization. Finally, you’ll produce the problem statement, or why you need to transform IT governance in your organization.

Session 2

June 10, 2020, 1:00–2:30 p.m. ET

This session will provide you with tools and guidance in identifying a catalyst for creating a future state model. In addition, we will use the stakeholder groups to identify opinion leaders to champion the work and communicate a unified message. Consider the digital transformation needed at your organization and the stakeholders who must be at the table to support this and how to bring them together under a single umbrella.

You will begin to design your ideal future state IT governance.

Session 3

June 17, 2020, 1:00–2:30 p.m. ET

In this session, you will be provided with sample materials from another organization that went through this process. You will be expected to analyze and categorize stakeholder feedback in order to summarize for a report out.

You will create a presentation and executive summary to present to your senior leadership. You will create communications to propagate information throughout your organization to ensure transparency, organizational awareness, and buy-in.
