Overview

Leading change in higher education is quite complex. How can you assess the institutional capacity for change, gain deep clarity about the intended change, and apply the right change tools and tactics that will work for you in your current role and unique situation? Change can be successfully led from any role. Thoughtful and precise planning is critical to achieving the benefits of the changes you're looking to make and managing the negative impact of change.

Learning Outcomes:

NOTE: You will be asked to complete assignments in between the Learning Lab segments that support the learning outcomes stated below. You will receive feedback and constructive critique from course facilitators.

  • Develop the ability to identify the characteristics of successful change in higher education
  • Learn how to identify the characteristics of a successful change leader in higher education
  • Create a plan to lead a change initiative using the concepts, tools, and templates introduced in the course
