UC Riverside's initiative to shift legacy on-premise IT infrastructure and services to modern cloud-based solutions coincided with an initiative within the UCR Information Security Office to revamp and improve the logging and log analysis capabilities for Security Operations. This resulted in the adoption of Google Chronicle as a SIEM solution, and as the Information Security Office continues to pivot to this platform, many lessons have been learned throughout the deployment and onboarding processes.
