The HECVAT is widely used across higher ed and is perhaps more popular than ever after over seven years and three significant version updates. In previous presentations, we examined hundreds of HECVAT v2s (Full and Lite) alongside an initial selection from HECVAT v3s. Now, two years on, we've gathered a significant collection of more than 100 HECVAT v3 assessments from over 20 different EDUs.
This presentation will encompass a comprehensive review of this HECVAT dataset, taking into account various aspects such as HECVAT type, question category, vendor vertical, and particularly notable findings. As before, we will conduct a more detailed analysis of those questions with higher criticality weighting.
Our aim with this expanded dataset and its analysis is to offer the community a benchmark to guide their review, analysis, and interpretation of HECVATs within their own institutions.
