Tailoring Cybersecurity Awareness to Campus Groups, from First-Year to Faculty

Thursday, May 02, 2024 | 9:15AM–10:00AM CT | Nicollet Ballroom D, First Floor
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
University communities are very diverse, and so are the cyberthreats they face. First-year students are often targets of identity theft or financial fraud, and researchers may be targets due to their access to computer resources and unpublished data. How about the payables team or the veterinary clinic? All these groups face different cyberthreats, so we must consider how to keep cybersecurity awareness relatable, accessible, and enjoyable. In this session, you'll hear how the University of Illinois delivers an extensive training and awareness program, measures our impact on campus, and promotes cyber safety at work and home.
