The Cybersecurity and Privacy Workforce in Higher Education: Challenges, Implications, and Solutions

This session will be interactive and will highlight key findings from a recent EDUCAUSE report focused on higher education cybersecurity and privacy professionals. We will explore current workforce challenges in the areas of budgets and staffing, work role experiences, and skills and competencies and professional development. We will also present attendees with practical next steps for addressing the workforce issues facing their institutions. During this session, you will hear directly from the EDUCAUSE research and cybersecurity staff and an industry expert. You will also have multiple opportunities to engage directly with your peers and to share insights about the experiences of cybersecurity and privacy professionals at your institution via small and large group discussions.
