SaaS platforms are powerfully flexible and being used by higher education institutions for a wide range of applications, including student services, human resources, business operations, and health care support. Moving sensitive data into the cloud without adequate security and privacy controls can cause data exposure and damage, particularly when organizations lack understanding of the risks in these new environments. Many organizations are resource-constrained, lacking the expertise and resources to properly secure their Salesforce environments and lacking visibility or control over configuration changes and user activities within their environment. Few InfoSec experts fully understand the intricacies of SaaS platforms, and SaaS professionals are rarely security experts. This dangerous divide leaves higher education institutions unsure of what good SaaS security looks like and what bad user activity looks like. Learn how to implement effective SaaS security and compliance with fewer resources and less effort!
