Smaller schools face the same security threats and challenges as larger institutions, but often operate with smaller budgets and fewer staff. To address these issues, several schools in Virginia have formed a collaborative network to tackle security challenges collectively. This session will explore the innovative strategies and benefits of such partnerships, highlighting the experiences of the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV) schools and the journey so far. Attendees will learn how collaboration can propagate best practice and expertise, optimize resource allocation, improve governance and oversight, and mature security programs.
