Event Description

Join best-selling author and leadership coach Meg Poag for this interactive, applied program to explore how to overcome challenges and adversity in the workplace and regain confidence, clarity, and personal motivation while helping those around you to do the same. The four sessions are divided into two themes:

  • Theme one is focused on you. These first two sessions will empower you to accelerate your influence and resilience by unlocking the power of neuroscience and emotional intelligence using the four-step “Adversity Hack.”
  • Theme two is focused on others. These final two sessions will help you build skills and provide proven frameworks for masterfully delegating, empowering others, and supporting their resilience.

In this four-part series, participants will:

  • Understand how the brain and emotions impact leadership success and learn how to reroute from stress-induced derailment paths to regain a calm and clear mind;
  • Leverage personal purpose and values and tap into deeper personal responsibility to create powerful solutions to pervasive work challenges;
  • Connect with your deepest values, principles, and purpose as a leader to develop resilience in the face of adversity;
  • Understand how psychological and emotional needs are causing stress and disengagement in those you lead, and gain strategies to help your team re-stabilize in even the most stressful times; and
  • Understand your role in empowering your team to grow and develop and practice a proven framework for empowerment to masterfully lead your team members to higher levels of responsibility.

Participants will receive expert facilitation and share, practice with, and learn from a cohort of other higher education leaders. Through engagement in structured discussions and activities, participants will:

  • Reflect, synthesize, and network while discussing key issues with other professionals in the field;
  • Learn practical, applicable tools and frameworks to apply immediately to their work lives and see dramatic, positive results;
  • Develop relationships with others for ongoing conversation and ideation as they progress along their professional pathway.
