What would it mean for your institution to be truly AI-ready, empowering both educators and learners to thrive in a future shaped by AI? This AI institutional strategy leadership series challenges executive leaders to envision that ideal state—where strategic AI literacies development fuels a culture of innovation, readiness, and responsiveness. By leveraging AI as an aid for collaboration, creation, and connection, educators can set new strategy and direction for academic transformation that drives learner engagement, retention, and completion.

Through a series of interactive sessions, participants will explore eight interconnected dimensions of AI literacies and learn how to assess existing capabilities, design impactful professional development, and craft a strategic vision that meets the unique needs of their communities. Built from findings from the facilitators’ globally recognized research, this series features exemplars from institutions of various types and sizes, contextualized by the diverse learner populations they serve, and offers concrete insights for strategic planning. Participants will engage in experiential learning, peer exchange, and collaborative planning while building a community of practice that extends beyond the series sessions. Additionally, leaders will work together across roles to design a holistic strategy for AI literacies development and cultivate an institution-wide culture of AI readiness that advances learner success, inclusivity, and workforce preparedness.

Through structured reflection and guided activities, participants will develop actionable plans to advance AI literacies within their institutions. This process will help them to:

  • Articulate the strategic importance of AI literacies in preparing their institutions for the future of learning and work.
  • Evaluate collaborative literacies and stakeholder engagement to support AI readiness across their institutions.
  • Develop a strategy for professional development and training that fosters AI literacies among faculty, staff, and students.
  • Align leadership practices with the goals of AI literacies development to create a supportive and inclusive environment for innovation.
  • Build a community of practice that supports the ongoing development, scaling, and sustainability of AI-readiness initiatives both within and beyond their institutions.
