Why the cancellation?
Internet2 made the decision to cancel their Global Summit, at which the EDUCAUSE Institute New IT Managers Program was going to be held, due to the evolving COVID-19 situation. See their statement.
Will I get my money back?
As communicated to all New IT Managers Program registrants via email, we will be issuing full registration fee refunds. Alternatively, you may put your registration money towards our online New IT Managers Program. Our Professional Learning staff is available to help you select the best option. Attendees will receive a message with instructions about how to choose one of the options in the coming week.
Attendees with reservations at the conference hotel, JW Marriott Indianapolis, may cancel such reservations without penalty up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Please contact the hotel directly (866-704-6162).
We are unable to provide refunds for travel expenses. In terms of air travel, many airlines are now offering flight waivers and accommodations for specific travel dates and destinations. Please work directly with your airline. We have drafted documentation to support refund requests if needed. If we can support refund requests in any other way, please contact [email protected].
Additional Travel Cancellation Tips:
Will EDUCAUSE hold an online event in place of this program?
We have an online version of the New IT Managers Program coming up in June. If you are interested in participating in it, please contact us for instructions on how to transfer your registration.
Is EDUCAUSE planning to cancel other face-to-face events like the NERCOMP Annual Conference or the Security Professionals Conference?
The decision to cancel the ELI Annual Meeting and New IT Managers Program was unique to emerging events at the time. We continue to monitor events throughout the United States and internationally. The status of other EDUCAUSE events is currently unchanged. We will continue to provide clear and timely communications leading up to and at our events. Should we receive new information that would prompt us to make adjustments to our event schedule, we will immediately notify all impacted parties via email and post regular updates on our website.
