Talent Management: Aligning IT's Most Strategic Asset

Talent management is the process of attracting, selecting, training, developing, and promoting employees throughout the institution. The focus is on obtaining and developing talent to ensure that staff have the tools, support, and resources necessary to perform well; that they are properly motivated and compensated; and that they are ready to transition into leadership roles as appropriate. Staff become valuable assets because, over time, they develop the necessary core competencies and internalize institutional core values. This session will highlight how and why institutions should embrace talent management to obtain and retain the best talent available for their organizational success.
