Stories encapsulate who we are, what might happen, and how we should act. Today, narrative techniques are used in education to empower educators to create meaningful activities, engage students creatively, and translate their learning to real-world situations. In this poster session, participants will role-play a course activity and answer prompts to generate ideas for learning activities grounded in narrative strategies. We will share faculty and staff development approaches including the release of an open-access course and resources on storytelling techniques.
Outcomes: Analyze faculty, student, and staff perspectives and employ narrative techniques to design new course activities * Empower faculty to use narrative techniques and enable students to translate their learning to real-world situations * Humanize digital teaching and learning through technology and storytelling techniques
