The session title refers to the gap between faculty early adopters and the early majority in embracing open educational resources (OER), an innovation for student success. This session will develop phases of OER adoption from the experiences of audience members based on current narratives in the technology literature for diffusing innovations. The outcome of the session will be a framework for assisting academic leaders in identifying the stages of OER adoption within an institution and the strategies for getting there.
Outcomes: Identify common challenges in OER adoption * Identify the stages of adoption and the best strategies for closing the gap between faculty early adopters and the early majority * Obtain a framework for institutional strategies and adoption phases of OER
