Hooks and Ladders: Identifying Analytics Data Points in the Instructional Design Process

Monday, January 29 | 2:15PM–3:00PM CT | Preservation Hall, Second Floor
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
The move toward personalized learning with options for remediation and acceleration requires identification of "hooks" to collect data informing recommended resources and direction for students needing remediation or options for acceleration. We will share the foundational process and discuss how it can be applied to course development at other institutions.

Outcomes: Learn about the challenges and opportunities of collaborative teams focused on the identification of data points in the design of courses and learning experiences * Apply our experiences regarding the move toward adaptive, personalized, and machine-directed learning to your institution * Prepare a draft of a similar process for consideration in the design and development activity at your institution
