Practical Evaluation for Digital Learning on Your Campus

Tuesday, January 30 | 9:15AM–10:00AM CT | Galerie 2, Second Floor
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Interactive Presentation
Research on digital learning efficacy lags far behind the explosive growth of products, meaning faculty and administrators often must make decisions about technology with inadequate evidence of effectiveness. We will share a set of online tools developed with philanthropic funding to help faculty and staff evaluate the impact of technology-supported instruction on their campuses as part of a continuous improvement process. We will then lead a discussion of current evaluation practices and opportunities for improvement.

Outcomes: Explore study design options for evaluating digital learning and some considerations for selecting a design that fits with the type of decision at hand * Locate resources, data, and skills needed to conduct digital learning evaluations within your institution * Access to a set of tools you can use and share back on campus for evaluating digital learning
