Classrooms of the Future, Buildings of the Past

Tuesday, January 30 | 2:30PM–3:15PM CT | Preservation Hall, Second Floor
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
As our campuses evolve to meet the changing needs of faculty and students, many of us face constraints presented by our historic campus buildings. From infrastructure challenges like building systems and asbestos abatement to architectural challenges of respecting "notable interiors," we'll share some examples of recent and upcoming projects at Harvard and facilitate sharing of ideas and best practices among participants. Bring your challenges—the good, the bad, the ugly—and get ideas and inspiration (or at least sympathy) from your colleagues! We encourage you to bring images or links to spaces you'd like to discuss.

Outcomes: Identify constraints on learning space projects on your campus and common to other campuses * Apply ideas garnered from participants and presenters to learning space projects on your campuses * Contribute examples from your campus to the FLEXspace community
