The HyFlex Model of Course Delivery: Tribulations, Triumphs, and Technology - Sponsored learning space design and furniture provided by Steelcase Education, Gold Partner

Monday, January 29 | 4:00PM–4:45PM CT | Grand Ballroom - Bissonet, Third Floor
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Interactive Presentation
We are exploring the use of the HyFlex model of course delivery as a way to support student success. The highlight of HyFlex is a flexible participation policy that allows students to choose one of three tracks each class period: face-to-face, synchronous online, or asynchronous online. This presentation will outline the challenges, processes, and partnerships involved in planning, delivering, and evaluating a HyFlex course. We will present preliminary research findings related to student satisfaction, participation patterns, and learning outcomes. You will have the opportunity to participate in a simulated HyFlex course experience using Canvas and Zoom on your mobile device.

Outcomes: Discover how the HyFlex model can support student success * Determine the resources needed by your institution to support the HyFlex model * Articulate the potential impact of the HyFlex delivery model on your institution
