Entry into game-based learning can occur across a broad continuum, ranging from an entire course designed and taught as a game to a midpoint game layer to small design changes such as individual units or assignments. We will explain this broad spectrum with case examples and offer specific suggestions for how to "gamify" a learning environment both in the classroom and across campus, from orientation to graduation.
