Unmanned aerial systems, or drones, can be a powerful tool for teaching and learning. Many institutions are just starting to navigate the complex web of federal, state, and local regulations to advance the technology and its applications for teaching and research. In this session, you will learn from our experiences of starting a drone program from the ground up. Specifically, we'll cover the process of creating a campus policy, obtaining a remote pilot's license, and incorporating drones into coursework and research.
