This workshop for course designers (faculty, instructional designers, learning engineers, course developers, etc.) will explore how to employ Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles within course design to help meet the needs of all students without compromising the rigorous standards of their course. By exploring the UDL frameworks, strategies, and action steps, we hope you will develop an understanding about the importance of universal design within inclusive teaching and educational equity and also be able to apply concrete steps to alter (or improve) and enhance your classrooms and programs.

Outcomes: Explore the concepts of universal design and UDL as they relate to the needs of diverse learners * Uncover and craft strategies for applying universal design within your courses and individual assignments * Discuss and develop ideas for more inclusive content delivery and assessment * Influence the presence of universal design as an approach within our home learning environments
