Leveraging LMS Data to Develop Predictive Analytics for Student Success Advising and Intervention

Wednesday, March 29 | 2:25PM–2:45PM ET | Room 550
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation or Panel Session

In this session, we show how we used Virginia Commonwealth University's LMS data to engineer measures of student engagement and how we were able to use LMS-based measures of engagement to develop predictive models for early indication of academic performance. These models enhance VCU's ability to identify students with elevated academic risk earlier than was previously possible.
