A Team Approach to Strategic Planning

Tuesday, March 26 | 11:30AM–12:15PM ET | Room 551 AB
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Demonstration
As a team leader, managing and tracking all the tasks assigned to your team can be challenging. It can be hard to ensure that your team's work aligns with the overall goals of your department and institution, which may leave team members wondering if their work is strategically significant. To tackle these issues, the Education Technology Office at Framingham State University used a mapping exercise to align our services and initiatives with our goals, examine our data, and ask questions about our work. This exercise helped us prioritize our initiatives and develop a timeline for their implementation. Our experience enabled us to visualize our work and work together toward a shared vision for accomplishing our mission. In this interactive session, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from our experiences, ask questions, and discuss how this strategy can be effectively implemented in their respective contexts. We will demonstrate how the information generated through our mapping exercise is utilized to prioritize work and report progress, with tangible benefits for our team's productivity and overall success.
