Actionable Insights for Generative AI, Accessibility, and Open Educational Resources

Tuesday, April 01, 2025 | 11:30AM–12:15PM ET
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Facilitated Discussion
A rich and ongoing discussion has emerged about how to use AI in the space of open educational resources (OER). One of AI’s most compelling propositions is its use in the formation of OER. This discussion will explore how we can thoughtfully integrate generative AI into our OER development while ensuring accessibility and universal design. To do so, the facilitators will discuss some of their own exploration and usage of CAST's recent release of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) 3.0 guidelines in the creation of OER with generative AI, which will set the context for the session.
