Is cloud the new “perimeter” inside and outside your institution? How does your security framework map to this future? Helen Patton hosts a panel of CISOs who will discuss the future of cloud security and what colleges and universities should start to do to evolve their approach to identity, zero trust, and managing this new hybrid attack surface, especially when considering the wider implications for the institution. The session will include an update on how organizations need to secure the use of cloud but also use the cloud to secure their campus. It will also discuss the future of cloud security in higher education, what is working and what needs to be done. The panel will present use cases that can help the CISO community when looking at their institution’s requirements. Session participants will learn about best practices to map an infosec framework to a cloud native transformation; hear key focus areas to maximize the approach; and discover pitfalls and lessons learned from multi-cloud instances across the campus.
