Managing human risk with a high-quality cybersecurity training and awareness program can make a measurable difference in how faculty, staff, and students approach their own security, building more secure habits that benefit themselves and the institution. In 2021, the Cybersecurity Training and Awareness team at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign launched required cybersecurity training for campus employees. Find out how our team laid the groundwork for a successful launch and how the training and awareness program continues to grow to address human risk. We will discuss how the cybersecurity training and awareness program at the University of Illinois yields positive results, as well as lessons learned along the way.
