We Put the Community in Cyberinfrastructure: How InCommon and NET+ Support Security Professionals

Friday, May 03 | 9:30AM–10:15AM CT | Northstar Ballroom A, Second Floor
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session

You don’t need us to tell you that security professionals at research and education institutions have a tough job. But we want to ensure you know you’re not alone in solving current and emerging security and privacy challenges. As a community-driven nonprofit, Internet2 has supported and convened a community of security professionals for almost three decades while providing tested and tried tools, infrastructure, and vendor relationship management for the services you rely on to deliver and secure your cyberinfrastructure. We can make your job a little easier by helping leverage tools vetted by your peers and available through a cost-conscious portfolio of solutions that include the InCommon Certificate Service, eduroam, NET+ Duo, Cloud Connect, and more. In this session, we’ll walk you through scenarios illustrating how the community fostered by InCommon and NET+ supports security professionals at research and education institutions.
