Wednesday, March 26, 2014 | 9:30AM–10:20AM | Room 552B
Session Type: Professional Development

With a rapidly changing environment, ever-increasing demands for resources, and the need for greater agility and transparency, IT organizations must have the right structures in place to ensure success. This presentation will show how Boston College introduced an ITS Strategic Planning and Governance framework suited to our culture, designed to align and optimize resource allocation, foster collaboration and transparency, and form partnerships as we begin the journey toward becoming a high-performance organization. Implemented individually, these elements can bring about incremental improvement. Implemented collectively, they present an opportunity for an organization to dramatically change its culture, purpose, and value.

OBJECTIVES: Learn how to develop a framework for an IT Strategic Planning process and implement it * Learn how to design a governance structure for Project Portfolio Management and implement a PPM model * Learn how to implement a process to craft vision and mission statements for the organization
