Becoming an Event Planner

As the Cardinal Cushing Library at Emmanuel College has transformed over the past year, its role has also evolved. In December of 2016, Karen Storin Linitz became the associate dean for library and learning resources. During this time, the shift to becoming a learning commons began, including physical changes to the library, which occurred this past summer. In addition to these changes to the facility, our role as librarians shifted to include programming. We focused our efforts on connecting with the community and engaging in academic dialogue outside the traditional reference interaction and information literacy formats.
