Session Type:
Breakout Session
Delivery Format:
Interactive Presentation
For the past three years, we have worked to design, conduct, and measure a data security training program built on the principles and concepts gathered from peer-reviewed research. In 2015, we presented at the NERCOMP Annual Conference about our evaluation of the research on data security training methods and shared our plans to implement a program informed by the research. In our presentation this year, we will report on our progress in the intervening three years during which we worked face-to-face with over 80% of all faculty and staff on "What Data Goes Where."
Outcomes: Learn how to evaluate faculty and staff to determine their current knowledge of data security practices at your school * Learn how to define a security awareness instructional task based on those needs * Learn about the key components required to design a security awareness program
