Hits and Misses in Online and Hybrid Faculty Development Workshops

Wednesday, March 28 | 1:00PM–1:45PM ET | Room 551
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Interactive Presentation
In this presentation, we'll discuss the lessons learned from adapting our intensive three-day Course Design Institute workshop into hybrid and online offerings. We will share our experiences offering a range of workshop formats and the challenges and benefits of adapting in-person offerings into online/hybrid formats. Participants will identify activities and offerings at their own institutions that would benefit from online delivery, brainstorm challenges and solutions to moving online, and adapt key in-person learning activities into meaningful online experiences.

Outcomes: Identify activities and offerings that would benefit from online delivery * Create a list of challenges and solutions to moving in-person offerings to an online environment * Consider how to transition from in-person to online activities (and back again) for a meaningful hybrid workshop experience
