Teaching with Mobile Devices Community of Practice Meeting

Wednesday, March 28 | 11:00AM–11:45AM ET | Room 553
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Community of Practice Session
As smartphones and tablets increasingly fill the backpacks and desks of today's students, college instructors have a choice to make: prohibit the devices and try to control their students' behavior, or coopt these devices and put them use for teaching purposes. In this CoP meeting, members will discuss and demonstrate classroom strategies, training approaches, and specific applications that help instructors and those who support them find ways to succeed at making smartphones and other mobile devices a meaningful part of teaching and learning. Join us for a discussion and demonstrations and share your own ideas of how to practically embrace these powerful devices.
