A Solid Foundation: Building an Effective Tutorial in Library Research Skills for First-Year Students

Tuesday, March 28 | 3:00PM–3:45PM ET | Ballroom A-C (Exhibit Hall)
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
Introducing first-year college students to the library and its resources can be a challenge without knowing the breadth of each student's prior exposure to libraries. In an effort to remedy that, library and ITS staff collaborated on updating an online library research skills tutorial in order to build a better introductory foundation for first-year students. This session will include focusing on accessibility, utilizing H5P technology, and how to conduct assessment of the tutorial.
