NERCOMP Mentorship: A Program Like You’ve Never Seen Before!

Tuesday, March 28 | 3:00PM–3:45PM ET | Room 551
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation or Panel Session

What is mentoring? While the concept of mentoring is not new to higher education, most people picture the classic one-on-one connection between an experienced leader and an employee when they think of mentoring programs. Even though this is a common type of program, the “human experience” of a meaningful mentoring relationship can take many forms and be tailored to meet the needs of participants in a variety of ways to enhance professional development and personal growth. In the Summer of 2022, NERCOMP formed a Mentorship Program Development Task Force to begin the development of a mentoring program with a unique approach to engagement, in an effort to meet the changing needs of information technology professionals at all angles. Please join us for this interactive session as we introduce mentoring as you’ve never seen before!
