Webinar | Transforming Your Orientation from On Ground to Online: Creating an Engaging Student Experience

Thinking through all of the variables associated with creating an online orientation experience for your students? Leveraging our experiences with creating online (and on ground) orientations, we'll walk you through all of the elements of building a great online orientation.

We will share how to build a holistic experience that integrates the elements of your on-ground orientation, from sharing important information with students so they can successfully transition to the university, to getting students registered for fall courses, to engaging students with each other and their orientation leaders. Special attention will also be paid to orienting families.

Built into our session will be advice and best practices around the sequencing and modality (synchronous/asynchronous) of the orientation experience, leveraging effective learning design to create an orientation course, and using badging to verify completion and other assessment methods. We will include student perceptions and data from orientation experiences we have facilitated.
