Webinar | Moving to Canvas: How Arkansas State Migrated 5,700 Courses and Archived Its Legacy LMS Data

This webinar is a part of the EDUCAUSE Industry Insights series.

Migrating from one learning management system to another is a high-stakes initiative that requires precision, scale, and minimal disruption for faculty and students. Join Arkansas State University and K16 Solutions for a behind-the-scenes look at how Arkansas State successfully migrated 5,700 courses to Canvas using Scaffold Migration.

At the same time, the institution launched a large-scale legacy LMS archiving initiative using Scaffold Archiving to securely preserve 35,000+ historical courses while keeping them accessible for compliance, reference, and institutional memory.

This session will explore how Arkansas State combined automated migration and archiving technology to modernize its digital learning environment while protecting years of institutional data and academic history. Attendees will leave with practical insights for planning, executing, and sustaining large-scale LMS transitions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Execute high-volume course migrations quickly while maintaining data integrity.
  • Reduce risk and disruption during LMS transitions.
