Webinar | Navigating the NIST Frameworks: Pick Your Risk Management Focus

The NIST Framework ecosystem--the NIST Risk Management Framework, Cybersecurity Framework, Privacy Framework, Secure Software Development Framework, and AI Risk Management Framework--represents a widely adopted set of voluntary guidelines available to security and privacy practitioners. Each designed with a different focus and level of detail, they can be used together or separately to understand and manage a broad range of risks to organizations and systems. This talk provides a map to navigate across the frameworks. Learn more about each framework's focus and what to consider when selecting the right framework(s) your organization.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify the primary focus and intended use case of each NIST framework covered in the session.
  • Compare the scope and level of detail across the frameworks.
  • Evaluate which NIST framework or combination of frameworks best aligns with your institution's risk management priorities and resources.
