Showcase Webinar | Technology Literacy for the Future Workforce

Sponsored by Microsoft | 2026 EDUCAUSE Strategic Partner

While traditional ideas of preparedness emphasize discipline-specific concepts and skills, today's workforce demands fluency with technology, data, and, increasingly, AI. Across many disciplines, students aren't fully educated and prepared to enter the workforce if they cannot meaningfully engage with the technologies and data capabilities that support those disciplines. At the same time, higher education technology professionals are increasingly being asked to upskill in areas including AI, data, and relational communication.

In this EDUCAUSE Showcase Webinar, you’ll learn from institutional and industry thought leaders as they explore how institutions can prepare students for the future workforce while upskilling technology staff to serve institutional needs.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand how to facilitate conversations among faculty and department leadership related to designing curriculum to respond to workforce changes.
  • Consider how to support staff professional development in key technology skills while balancing increasing workload concerns.
  • Learn about building bridges with industry partners who can provide critical guidance on skills and competencies expected of students entering the workforce.
