CISO as a shared resource
Wednesday, October 31, 2018 | 12:30PM–1:30PM MT
Session Type:
E-Track
Franklin and Marshall College and Susquehanna University have a shared services agreement for a shared CISO. The shared model brings the benefits of having a veteran senior staff member, with part-time presence and significantly reduced cost, to each institution. This session discusses the institutions' novel approach to information security leadership.
Outcomes: 1. Understand how the shared CISO model works in terms of budgeting, scheduling, contractual relationships 2. Describe a core set of priorities between institutions with different service delivery strategies 3. Understand how a shared resource repository has to evolve and adapt to something far from uniform and consistent
