Containers for All: Using Containers For Teaching and Research

Wednesday, October 31 | 2:30PM–3:15PM MT
Session Type: Breakout Session
Using technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, many companies employ containers to increase their flexibility, agility, and ability to scale their products. Learn how we leverage these technologies to support research and instruction, helping our faculty work flexibly and efficiently while also delivering powerful new capabilities for project-based classroom learning.

Outcomes: 1. Understand the role that container technologies can play in supporting the instructional and teaching work of individual faculty. 2. Demonstrate a value case for investing in container-based research and instructional computing capabilities. 3. Conduct faculty outreach to identify and train faculty and students on using containers in their work.
