A cybersecurity strategy requires thinking differently from IT and business because it is adversarial, asymmetric, and reactive. A security strategy must complement the institutional and IT strategies but has very different goals. We will cover how to create an effective cybersecurity strategy as well why the CISO should not report to the CIO.
